Our new Dredging Vessels Directory was introduced today at the International Association of Dredging Companies’ (IADC) International Seminar on Dredging and Reclamation in Abu Dhabi.

The new directory, which will provide the dredging industry with a compact useful overview of operating cutter suction dredgers (CDS), is now expanded with a significant database of operating trailing suction hopper dredgers (TSHD).

This high quality printed reference guide includes photographs, technical specifications, owners and builders of operating dredgers.

The IADC’s Abu Dhabi seminar, aimed at future decision makers, port and harbor authorities, offshore companies and other organizations that have to execute dredging projects, is taking place from March 26-30th 2017.

According to IADC, the main goal of the course is to provide an understanding through lectures by experts in the field and workshops, partly conducted on-site in order to give the participants hands-on experience.

The 5-day course is attended by over 30 participants, said IADC.

During the seminar, the participants learned more about hoppers, cutters and other dredging equipment. The event included a visit to the Port of Khalifa and climbing on-board two cutter dredgers.

IADC’s member, National Marine Dredging Company, was the organizer of this site visit.
