With more and more orders coming in almost every week, Royal IHC is making steady progress in all its business segments.

According to IHC, the company sees continued recovery of its markets, with further increase of new orders for both vessels and equipment.

Last week, IHC was awarded a contract for the design, construction and delivery of a sister vessel of cutter suction dredger (CSD) HELIOS, which is currently being outfitted at IHC’s shipyard in Kinderdijk. This second self-propelled CSD will have a total installed power of 23,700kW and can reach a dredging depth of 35m.

IHC has also recently signed a contract for the delivery of 30 IHC Beaver® CSDs with the Ministry of Agriculture in Turkmenistan. The cutters will be deployed to improve the irrigation system in the country and to support the development of the agricultural sector. To enable the customer to use the full potential of the equipment, an extensive (on-site) training program will also be provided by IHC.

The company’s focus on designing and producing state-of-the-art equipment for the maritime sector has resulted in an order for a spud carriage for Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard (GWS), part of CSSC (China State Shipbuilding Corporation). It will be delivered together with a set of dredge pumps, for a self-propelled mega CSD that will be built by the Chinese shipyard.

“ We are extremely proud to see that our customers are satisfied with the design and quality of previously ordered vessels and equipment, and that this has resulted in repeat orders, ” says IHC CEO Dave Vander Heyde . “ We are also pleased to add value to our customers’ fleets by developing tailor-made solutions to meet their dredging challenges.”
