Few weeks ago, a non-propelled spoon dredger Waka Nami Go was transferred to the North-Western Basin Branch dredging fleet.
According to FSUE “Rosmorport”, the vessel – purchased by the company in March 2017 – has become the fourth dredger of the basin branch and 58th vessel within the fleet.
The vessel is equipped with a hydraulic excavator “Hitachi” mounted onto the pontoon with three support pillars.
The bucket dredger Waka Nami Go has capacity to extract up to 4 thousand cbm of soil a day at depths down to 18,5 meters.
The vessel will be used by the North-Western Basin Branch together with the earlier purchased self-discharging hauler Fort during dredging operations in the area of the Ust-Luga Seaport.
After the execution of constitutive and approval documents the dredger is expected to start operations in May 2017.
