Jan De Nul has just announced that the maintenance dredging operations at the entrance channel of Pulau Baai Port in Bengkulu, Indonesia, are now successfully completed.

The work was undertaken with Jan De Nul’s 3,700 m³ trailing suction hopper dredger DeLapérouse.

The port authorities perform maintenance dredging twice a year.

With the deepest shipping lane in Sumatras western coast, the Pulau Baai Port, located 25km from Bengkulu city center, is capable of handling 40,000 DWT coal bulk carriers.
