The Freeport of Riga Authority has invited bidders to submit their offers for carrying out dredging works in the Riga Port water area for the years 2017-2019.
These works are to be carried out by using a trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD), the official announcement said.
Latvian Port of Riga is located on both banks at the mouth of the River Daugava. The dredging work is necessary to give much larger vessels access to the port, which are on the increase due to a rise in the volumes of handled freight.
The total value of this contract is EUR18 million and the deadline for submitting the bids is June 29, 2017.
