The Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) has just released a tender for the dredging works in the port area, involving a charter contract for the rental of two loader dredgers for sludge and sand dredging.

“With this award, two loader bucket excavators for (wet) dredging work should be permanently rented during the contract period,” HPA said.

During the term of the contract, the materials to be removed include sand and sludge deposits, sand trickles and mostly sludge deposits. It will be a continuous operation of a loader bucket dredger from November 7, 2017 until about the middle of April 2018.

“The second loader bucket dredger, depending on the actual sedimentation, must be in use from the beginning of December 2017 up to the 31.3.2018 in Hamburg Port,” HPA added.

It is required that the availability of loader bucket excavators on site during this time is guaranteed, the announcement stated.

The deadline for submitting the bids is July 11, 2017.
