The Port of San Francisco has announced a Request for Proposals seeking a partner to lease a historically successful ship repair facility and its related equipment that collectively is undergoing an unprecedented refresh of new investment.

As a public agency, the port is seeking a partner that will fulfill the critical goals of continuous operations and associated employment to achieve financial returns for both the lessee and the port.

“ The Opportunity also includes the ability to benefit from port investments and agreements improving the operational profile at the shipyard, both from the recent past and currently underway,” the port said in its release.
