Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. has just released a very interesting video about their Sharjah coastal protection project in the United Arab Emirates.
This shoreline development scheme, undertaken by the trailing suction hopper dredger Coastway, involved a significant amount of dredging works and demolition of existing rock armor groynes and revetments for reuse in the new structures.
The project also included nourishment of five new bays with around 900.000m³ of beach quality sand, pumped ashore via pipeline.
