The Balmoral Quay development project located in Corio Bay, Geelong, is near completion, reported today AW Maritime Pty Ltd.

According to the announcement, the quay development nears completion with an extension to the Rippleside stormwater outfall drain recently completed along with significant beach renourishment works to the Balmoral beach.

The Balmoral Quay is luxury development consisting of waterfront properties and the construction of two new beaches on either side of the development, increased access to the marina and upgrade of the historic pier.

AW Maritime – working on behalf of Delta Group, the lead contractor responsible for construction – was in charge of the design processes for all coastal aspects of the development including the outfall extension, rock revetments, timber groyne, beach renourishment and marina design.

The company was also involved throughout construction, providing technical advice to Delta Group on the pier refurbishment and foreshore works including rock revetments, stormwater extensions, and beach renourishment.
