Funding Announced for Tuggerah Lake Dredging Work

Minister for Lands and Forestry, Paul Toole, has announced $225,000 from the NSW Government’s ‘Rescuing Our Waterways’ program for the dredging operations at Tuggerah Lake, The Entrance.

This project will see the removal of 60,000 cubic meters of sand from the channel which will then be used to nourish The Entrance North Beach.

Scot MacDonald, Parliament Secretary for the Central Coast, said that it is of great importance that this waterway stays open because it is a very dynamic coastal system.
