The annual tidal shoreline management workshop will be held on Thursday, June 14th at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) in Gloucester Point, VA.
These annual workshops provide an opportunity for Local Wetlands Board members, local and state agency staff, marine professionals, non-governmental organizations, and others to gather and discuss current events in tidal shoreline management.
This year’s theme will be Shoreline Best Practice Case Studies. The program will highlight what well-designed living shorelines and other practices look like and how they work for coastal protection, erosion reduction, water quality, and habitat ecosystem services.
Planned Workshop Topics:
The workshop program will include indoor lectures & training sessions plus an outdoor field experience on the VIMS campus.
