The Port of Teignmouth last week hosted Anne Marie Morris, MP for Newton Abbot, for an exclusive tour of the port to find out more about its history and operations.
During the visit, the local MP was given a presentation by the Port Manager, Alex Chinchen on how port facilities and safety procedures have evolved throughout the years as well as an overview of the latest successes.
To demonstrate the latest investments in infrastructure and equipment, the presentation was followed by a guided tour around the port’s facilities.
During this tour the Port Manger showcased ABP’s recently acquired Mantsinen crane, which represents an investment of £850,000.
The positive impact of the Teignmouth Harbor Commissions’ dredge on the ports capacity was also discussed during the visit.
