The Reston Association last week presented a video of the ongoing Lake Thoreau dredging project.
The Association is working with Lake Services, Inc. to dredge the accumulated sediment from the main coves of Lake Thoreau.
Routine dredging is part of Reston Association’s lakes maintenance program, which helps to extend the life of the lake.
RA anticipates dredging to be completed by the end of June with the removal of approximately 4200 cubic yards of material.
During the works, all 12 coves of Lake Thoreau will be dredged and approximately 350 to 400 truckloads of material will be removed.
