To accelerate ‘the Harbour of Tilings’ in Antwerp and build connections with start-ups, DEME and PortXL have agreed on a partnership.

Commenting the latest news, Cees-Willem Koorneef from PortXL Antwerp , said: “ After this Summer, we wall start to scout and select relevant maritime, logistics and chemical start-ups for our Antwerp program.”

“PortXL will then match them with partner companies in the Port such as DEME and facilitate a highly intensive program during which they will partner up to apply new technologies and create value-adding innovations.”

Alain Bernard, DEME CEO, added that DEME supports this new initiative in Antwerp as the collaboration with start-ups and scale-ups will speed up innovation and PortXL offers an interesting and international approach.

According to an official announcement from PortXL, besides the one in Antwerp, PortXL will also start a program in Singapore.
