The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, has just released the latest photo from their Rock Creek levee construction project.
“ Seattle District’s Slava Govorushkin is the construction lead. Zeke Tyler is a QA from Kansas City District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers who is on a 30 day detail helping us with levee construction ,” USACE said in its announcement.
The levee rehabilitation program construction kicked off last week with four projects also starting work.
Two more are starting construction today with a total of 12 projects scheduled to be completed prior to the fall flood season.
The levee rehabilitation program focus is to repair the damaged levees before the next flood season to reduce the flood risk to the communities behind these levees.
