Orion Group Holdings, Inc. (ORN) has announced a contract award of approximately $97 million for a construction project in Port Everglades, Florida.

According to the company, ORN’s Marine segment was recently awarded a contract from a joint venture of Moss & Associates and Kiewit Infrastructure South Co. (Moss/Kiewit JV) for the construction of the Southport Turning Notch Extension in Port Everglades.

The company’s scope on the project calls for the creation of a new cargo berthing area and includes the procurement and installation of approximately 5,000 linear feet of combi-wall bulkhead, as well as the concrete cap structure and related bollards, fenders and appurtenances.

Mark Stauffer, Orion’s Chief Executive Officer , commented, “ The opportunity to play an integral role in the largest expansion project in Port Everglades history is a tremendous opportunity for Orion’s Marine segment. We are excited to work on this port expansion project and continuing to serve as a high-quality solution provider for our customers. ”
