The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Jacksonville District will host a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) scoping meeting next week on the Puerto Rico Coastal Storm Damage Reduction Study.
The meeting is set for Tuesday, November 6, at the El Teatro Manuel Mendez Ballester in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The meeting will take place from 2 to 4 p.m.
The purpose of the scoping meeting is to present and discuss the production of a NEPA document for the feasibility study, and to assess the effects of potential alternatives to reduce coastal storm damages to infrastructure along the coast of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
The scoping meeting will aid in determining the scope of the NEPA analysis and any potentially significant issues.
The NEPA process will also identify alternatives and information needed to evaluate alternatives. Alternatives under consideration for the study include:
