With immediate effect and for a period of approximately 5 months, dredging operations will be carried out at Tuen Mun Public Cargo Working Area, the Hong Kong Marine Department (MARDEP) reports.
According to MARDEP, the works will be carried out by one derrick lighter and one split hopper barge. One work boat and two tugboats will provide assistance.
A working area of approximately 10 meters around the derrick lighter will be established.
“ Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the derrick lighter ,” MARDEP stated.
Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.
