The Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) is seeking public comment for its draft Annual Plan Fiscal Year 2020.

Three public hearings are scheduled across the coast to present the draft plan and to receive public comment; two additional public hearings are scheduled on the west and east side of the Atchafalaya Basin to hear the draft annual plan for its program.

The Annual Plan document provides a three year outlook of projected revenues and expenditures. Project schedules are also included.

Each hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. with an open house featuring a CPRA Exhibit and a display of Annual Plan materials. The presentation on the draft Annual Plan and public comment session will be from 6-7 p.m.

Hearing locations and dates:

To comply with Act 570 of the 2018 Regular Session, which transferred the responsibilities of the Atchafalaya Basin Research and Promotion Board and the Atchafalaya Basin Program from the Department of Natural Resources to CPRA, the Atchafalaya Basin Annual Plan is now also incorporated in the Annual Plan. As a result, CPRA will hold two additional public hearings to present the Atchafalaya Basin Annual Plan:

The public comment period ends on March 9, 2019.
