Underwater Earth Movers (UEM) Inc. is making nice progress with the phase 3 of Westport Marina maintenance dredging project in Washington.
According to the latest update, the contractor has so far removed nearly 76,000 cubic yards of material from the boat basin floor since September 21st, 2020.

“The next section of dredging activity will require coordinated, timely movement of boats in order to reach all slips. The marina staff will call boaters with temporary slip assignments as the dredge progresses into each area,” announced the officials.
To date, dredging of slips 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 has been full complete. Starting from November 20, work will move to the slips 15/17 and 19/21, stated the officials.
Last year, Bergerson Construction completed Phase I of the works, which included disposal of the dredge material in an upland site via pipeline.
After this, Pacific Pile and Marine wrapped up Phase II, including in-water disposal via pipeline to the permitted Point Chehalis disposal site.
