Straatman BV – specialized in fabrication of hydraulic presses, heavy winches and custom build projects for dredging industry – recently secured an order for the production of a bow discharge installation for a well-known American dredging shipyard.
According to the company, the bow discharge installation will have an inside diameter of ø762 mm and a maximum working pressure of 20 bar.
Production of this 25.000 kg giant will start in 2021. The equipment will be shipped afterwards in various main parts for easy transport to the USA.
The bow coupling installation for hopper dredgers realizes the connection between ship and floating pipe line.
This installation is designed for efficient beach and land reclamation. Quick connection and low maintenance ensure safe working under most all circumstances and tough weather conditions.
