Just ahead of Christmas, a new marine aggregate dredger, CEMEX UK’s Go Innovation successfully completed sea trials in the Black Sea and is due to arrive in the UK later this year.
CEMEX Go Innovation is the first of Damen’s next generation of vessels designed for the extraction of sand and gravel from the seabed.
She is expected regularly to call at CEMEX wharves along the Thames, including at Northfleet, which benefited from a £3 million PLA Investment Plan project installing new discharge equipment.
The vessel was built at the Damen’s shipyard in Romania.
