Three modern and powerful dredgers of FSUE “Rosmorport” began dredging works in the Kaliningrad Sea Canal after a break caused by ice formations.
According to Rosmorport, the dredgers engaged in the operations are Yuri Maslyukov, Severnaya Dvina and Beloye More. During the works, they will remove around 1.3 million cubic meters of dredged soil.

Under the plans of FSUE “Rosmorport”, the volume of maintenance dredging to be performed in 2021 will reach approx. 8.3 million cubic meters. At the moment, 13 dredging vessels of the company’s fleet are involved in the operations.
In 2020, FSUE “Rosmorport” provided navigation parameters for water areas and approach channels at 49 facilities in 22 seaports of Russia, performing dredging in the amount of 7.8 million m3.
Yuri Maslyukov is a hopper dredger with a capacity of 2,000 m3 (TSHD2000 project), which is a synthesis of new technical solutions and experience in the field of operation of previously built dredgers. It was built by order of FSUE “Rosmorport” at the Onego Shipyard.
Hopper Dredger Severnaya Dvina – built by Damen – is designed to meet the high specifications required to operate the vessels in the severe weather conditions of Russia’s northern region. This is the industry’s first ice class TSHD built directly under RMRS technical supervision for 30 years.
TSHD Beloye Morye is also a modern, powerful and economically efficient dredger of TSHD-2000 design. The Severnaya Dvina and Beloye Morye have been working in Kaliningrad from November 2019.
