North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation (NQBP) has just released a video about another Port of Mackay project from NQBP’s $17 million works package.
A total of 16,000 tonnes of rock from local quarries was used during recent $1.5 million stabilisation works inside the port.
These works were on a deteriorated sheet pile wall remnants from an old temporary dry dock built for the construction of the Hay Point Jetty in 1973.
The $1.5m Western Revetment stabilisation works is among the $17 million projects taking place at the Port of Mackay in 20-21.
