The Pilbara Ports Authority will conduct the dredging and survey operations in the Port of Ashburton in the following days.

The project is scheduled to begin on June 13 and expected to last three to four weeks.

According to the official statement, “the dredging operation and support activities will continue on a 24-hour basis covering the Wheatstone Marine Terminal (WMT) channel, swing basin and berth pocket.”

Mariners should navigate with caution in the vicinity of the dredging and support vessels, the authority said.

The vessels included in the project will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre and will exhibit the appropriate lights and shapes as prescribed under Marine Order 30.
