Mission-Aransas National Estuarine Research Reserve has just released this amazing video about the dredging operations to reopen Cedar Bayou along the Texas coast.
This is the first couple of weeks of work to establish a connection from the Gulf of Mexico to Mesquite Bay.
The video was shot in mid June 2021.
The Mission-Aransas National Estuarine Research Reserve (The Reserve) brings together scientists, landowners, policy-makers, and the public to ensure that coastal management decisions benefit flora and fauna, water quality, and people.
The Reserve is located at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute in Port Aransas, Texas.
