The construction of the cargo handling and storage area of VG Port Oy (member of Meriaura Group) in Luonnonmaa, Naantali is nearing completion.
The new storage field has been paved with asphalt, and shipping operations are gradually starting around Midsummer.
Two berths have been built in the area, one for the cargo operations and the other for, for example, laying up and maintenance of ships.
A new material handling machine Mantsinen 90 Hybrilift was brought by their deck cargo carrier M/V ‘Meri’ in May.
All warehouse operations of Meriaura Group are also centralized in the area.
Dredging work is still to be done during the summer, Meriaura Group said.
VG-Port offers material handling and storage services, especially for the products of bio and circular economy.
