The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, is beginning preparation of an integrated Feasibility Study and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) document to address coastal storm damages and risks along the shores of Ponte Vedra Beach, St. Johns County, Fla.
To that end the Jacksonville District will host two online public presentations July 15, 2021, to discuss its proposed Ponte Vedra Beach Coastal Storm Risk Management (CSRM) Feasibility Study.

The presentations, which will include time for questions and comments, will be conducted July 15, 2021, from 3-5 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m.
The Jacksonville District and its non-federal sponsor, St. Johns County, signed a Feasibility Cost Share Agreement April 19, 2021, which authorizes the Corps to evaluate federal participation in coastal storm risk management opportunities for the shores of the county for a 50-year period.
These public meetings will serve as the study’s NEPA scoping meeting, and will include an overview of the project study area and the NEPA process.
The deadline for sending comments on the proposed study is July 29, 2021.
