Keeping the Mississippi River navigable

Keeping the Mississippi River open to navigation is not an easy task and Dan Cottrell, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers St. Paul District dredging manager, knows this.

Recently, he had the opportunity to ride Ingram Barge Company’s MV Neil N. Diehl on the Upper Mississippi River where he got to experience the river’s navigation channel from the captain’s perspective, giving him insight and new ideas to enhance their service.
