MTCC signs Kolhufushi Shore Protection deal

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) and Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure of the Maldives have signed an agreement for the M. Kolhufushi Shore Protection Project. MTCC CEO, Shahid Hussain Moosa, signed the contract on behalf of the company and Ms. Zeeniya Hameed

MTCC signs Kolhufushi Shore Protection deal

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) and Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure of the Maldives have signed an agreement for the M. Kolhufushi Shore Protection Project.

MTCC CEO, Shahid Hussain Moosa, signed the contract on behalf of the company and Ms. Zeeniya Hameed, Permanent Secretary, put her signature on behalf of the Ministry.

According to MTCC, MP for Mulaku Constituency Mr. Ibrahim Naseer graced the ceremony.

The works include:

Kolhufushi is one of the inhabited islands of Meemu Atoll. The island was greatly affected by the 2004 tsunami, although coral reefs took some of the impact.
