Maldives Transport and Contracting Company continues work on the Adh. Hangnaameedhoo Harbor project with overall progress of more than 50% percent, informs MTCC.
The company added that they have commenced installation of precast concrete blocks required for the construction of quay wall on 11th Dec 2021.
The Adh. Hangnaameedhoo Harbour project consists of dredging and excavation operations of 6,363.1cbm; construction of a 204m breakwater; a 266m quay wall; a 160m revetment; etc.
MTCC also announced that work on design and construction of R. Maduvvari South Harbor is well underway, with overall 90% project progress.
The R. Maduvvari South Harbor development scheme includes dredging of the channel in the amount of 7,280cbm as well as dredging of over 140,000cbm from the harbor basin and other areas, breakwater construction of 411m, quay wall construction of 582m, and revetment construction of 135m.
