Accreditation granted for ten NMDC certificate programs

The ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), a wholly owned subsidiary of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has granted accreditation to the National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) for ten certificate programs.

Part of ANAB’s outreach efforts to accredit clients in the Gulf region, the accreditation under ANAB’s certificate program to ANSI/ASTM E2659-18, Standard Practice For Certificate Programs , applies to the National Marine Dredging Company’s certificates for job safety within the marine dredging industry:

“ANAB accreditation allows companies to demonstrate that their certificate programs represent the best quality education and training, and the job safety certificate programs of the National Marine Dredging Company exemplify our criteria,” said Dr. Turan Ayvaz , ANAB’s senior director of credentialing accreditation.

Eng. Mohammed Yassein , NMDC Group QHSE Director, added: “At NMDC, health, safety, and the environment has been an integral part of our strategy, operations, and culture. Over the past five decades, our teams have introduced several initiatives to create a safe working environment for all our employees and partners. The pandemic has underlined the need to be more resilient and to further prioritize health and safety and become a people first organization.”
