APM Terminals: Levante dredging kicks off

Due to the improvement program of APM Terminals Levante quay, dredging works will be carried out as a continuation of the previous works – to reach a depth of 17 meters in 600m of the berthing line up.

This will allow to operate ships up to 400 meters LOA and 16-meter draft.

“During the course of these works, it is expected quay operations will be affected, for which APM Terminals Valencia will allocate all available resources in order to serve customers as per the traditional safety and quality standards,” according to their official statement.

The total duration of these works is expected to be 4 months in total during 2022.

The first phase will start this week, from Monday to Friday and from 08:00 to 20:00 hours, with a total duration of 5 weeks; bollards 1 to 11 will be affected.

The completion date of the first phase is estimated for June 3.
