Yamaha supports Ducks Unlimited Gulf Coast Initiative

Yamaha Rightwaters has committed $225,000 over three years to support Ducks Unlimited’s Gulf Coast Initiative (GCI).

This initiative focuses on restoring and enhancing coastal wetlands in Texas and Louisiana that are areas of significant importance for waterfowl and fisheries.

In addition to supporting the outdoor recreation economy, DU’s coastal wetland projects enhance water quality, sequester carbon, and increase community resilience.

“Habitat restoration is an important cornerstone of the Yamaha Rightwaters mission,” said Ben Speciale , president of Yamaha’s US Marine Business Unit.

“Carbon sequestration through these efforts plays a critical role in preserving and sustaining healthy fisheries for generations to come. We look forward to the progress we’ll make together.”

Yamaha Rightwaters is a national sustainability program encompassing all of Yamaha Marine’s conservation and water quality efforts.

Program initiatives include habitat restoration, support for scientific research, mitigation of invasive species, reduction of marine debris, and environmental stewardship education.
