Rohde Nielsen’s split hopper dredger Trud R has recently completed a project in Erquy, France.
This work was part of the construction of the new St. Brieuc for the client RTE.
The project was particularly difficult because of its restricted working area and shallow depths.
The works involved various tasks, including dredging two trenches with a length totaling 250 m and the installation of a HDPE pipe in each trench, which had to be bolted underwater onto the already installed HDPE coming from shore.
The Trud R subsequently backfilled all sections with the same dredged material.
