The Government of Western Australia, Department of Transport, has just announced that more dredging will be carried out in the Beadon Creek Onslow, Western Australia.
According to DoT, these works are scheduled to commence around the 24h of October 2022 and are expected to be completed by the 24th of December 2022. They will occur 24hrs per day, 7 days per week.
The works will be carried out by the TAMS Group backhoe dredge FT3 (34.95 x 15m) spudded on location in the creek supported by tug (Pegasus V) and split hopper barge North (32m x 8m).
In the earlier stages of the project, the dredged material will be taken to the OMSB berth and later to the the Spoil Ground located Northeast of the Onslow Salt export facility.
The Onslow Community Boating Precinct (CBP) project required approximately 45,000 cubic metres of sand and rock to be dredged from the site to create a safe boating area. To date, over 35,000 cubic metres of material has been removed from the Beadon Creek Onslow.
