Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has just released this beautiful video about the India’s largest land reclamation project – the Mumbai Coastal Road Project.
Mumbai Coastal Road Project (South) is 67 per cent complete now, BMC said in the latest project update.
This capital development program that is expected to be completed by November 2023 is an eight-lane coastal road that will be 10.58 km long, including a twin tunnel of 2.070 km.
Along the route, there will be three interchanges that will have a length of 15.66 km. The sea wall/ promenade will be 7.47 km long.
More than 111 hectares of new land – created from the sea bed – is being reclaimed, to join Mumbai’s coastline.
