The City of Santa Barbara has just announced that the harbor entrance remains extremely impacted and hazardous to navigate.

The City’s Waterfront Department is working with the Army Corps of Engineers on scheduling emergency dredging operations ASAP.

An Army Corps vessel is conducting a survey of the Federal Channel and other impacted areas.

Also, cleanup efforts are wrapping up in the harbor, parking lots, and surrounding areas.

The Waterfront Department is working under an emergency repair permit with CA Coastal Commission to install rock revetment between the yacht club parking lot and Harbor West parking lot to protect against further erosion and property damage.

According to the City, this work will take about 2-weeks.
