Starting next week, Jenkins Marine Ltd will kick off annual maintenance dredging of the Rudmore Channel.
According to the King’s Harbour Master Portsmouth and the Harbour Master Portsmouth International Port, the dredging will be conducted within the Rudmore Channel to the south east of Whale Island.

The dredging is to be undertaken by the backhoe dredger DOREEN DORWARD assisted by the hopper barges NAB and NEEDLES. Other vessels may also be used to assist in the tasking.
The project is set to commence on May 2, 2023, and conclude on approximately 10 June 2023.
