Luhr Bros wins $12.7 million dredging deal

Luhr Bros. Inc., from Columbia, Illinois, has won a very important $12.7 million firm-fixed-price dredging contract. Besides dredging of shoals, the work includes mobilization of the dredge and attendant plant, at points along the Ohio and Mississippi rivers and tributaries. Bids were solicited via

Luhr Bros wins $12.7 million dredging deal

Luhr Bros. Inc., from Columbia, Illinois, has won a very important $12.7 million firm-fixed-price dredging contract.

Besides dredging of shoals, the work includes mobilization of the dredge and attendant plant, at points along the Ohio and Mississippi rivers and tributaries.

Bids were solicited via the internet with one received, reports the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of November 15, 2023.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, is the contracting activity.
