According to the tender notice , TfNSW is seeking a contractor to undertake the maintenance dredging of the Swansea Channel.

The objective of the proposed dredging is to ensure the improvement and maintenance of safe navigation for commercial and recreational vessels travelling through the Swansea Channel.
“The tender has been published to engage a contractor to conduct dredging. This will close on 1 June,” said Yasmin Catley , NSW Labor Member for Swansea. “This has been an ongoing issue for years and this announcement makes clear the Labor Government is delivering on our commitment to dredge Swansea Channel.”
Transport for NSW plans to commence dredging in July, with a further campaign in Autumn next year.
