Members of Emergent Method team toured the LSU Center for River Studies recently, alongside the Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority.
“We learned more about the past, present, and future of Louisiana’s coast and were able to see how experts use the state-of-the-art Lower Mississippi River Physical Model, one of the world’s largest moveable bed physical models, for research and experiments on the river’s flow, water levels, and sediment transport,” Emergent Method said.
“Our team has worked with LSU Center for River Studies and Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority on numerous projects over the past 10 years, and it’s exciting to see how their work is transforming Louisiana’s coast.”

The Center is located on the Baton Rouge Water Campus near the banks of the Mississippi River.
It houses one of the world’s largest movable bed physical models – the Lower Mississippi River Physical Model.
