Maritime Constructions has started dredging works for the City of Rockingham at the Point Peron boat ramp to maintain the harbour for facility users.
The crews commenced operations in the deeper waters on the north side of the limestone breakwater at the boat harbour entrance, and will work south through the facility.

Dredged sand is being pumped to the beach and stockpiled at the approved sand stockpile location immediately adjacent to the works. The stockpiled sand will be used as beach renourishment material and placed on City beaches in spring 2023.
The cutter suction dredging campaign at the Point Peron will take place between May and August 2023.
