Gold Coast Waterways Authority has just released the latest update on the Gold Coast Seaway Entrance dredging program.

Dredging work in the area continues, and from today, 13 June, dredging works at the Seaway Entrance will be moved to 24 hrs operation.

The dredger Smithbridge Discovery will continue to transfer dredged material to the Narrowneck and/or South Stradbroke Island nearshore deposition sites via Gold Coast Seaway.

Also, the vessel will display appropriate day shapes and lights at night for safe passing sides, GCWA said.

The dredging operations will be conducted during daylight and night time hours.
