The Fort Lauderdale City Commission has officially approved the Osceola Creek Restoration Project.
This significant undertaking will be carried out in partnership with CHC Marine Services, LLC, and will involve an investment of $6.2 million.
The Osceola Creek Restoration Project aims to restore and rejuvenate Osceola Creek, spanning from SW 32nd Place to Marina Boulevard.
“Our comprehensive restoration efforts will include vital tasks such as debris removal, maintenance dredging, vegetation clearance, and bank stabilization,” said the Fort Lauderdale Mayor, Dean Trantalis .
“These actions are crucial in restoring the historical conveyance of stormwater, leading to a noticeable reduction in the frequency, severity, and duration of stormwater flooding in the area.”
