According to the Greater Lafourche Port Commission, the contractor will be working 24/7 in Flotation Canal, near the mooring dolphins.
Dredging will start on the west end of the Flotation Canal near Bayou Lafourche and move east toward Pointe Fourchon.
The dredge will then move to the front commercial marina, where the work will end. This hydraulic dredging project is set to completed by the end of February 2024.
