Callan Marine has announced that the latest addition to its fleet – the 32” cutter suction dredge General Arnold will soon be officially christened in New Orleans.
Under construction at C&C Shipyard in Belle Chasse, LA, the diesel-electric driven General Arnold will join Callan Marine’s additional 32” CSD, General MacArthur.
At 290’ feet in length and 72’ feet wide, the General Arnold will have a maximum digging depth of 97’ feet. It will also feature advanced production automation and monitoring systems.
The General Arnold, the eight dredge to join the Callan Marine fleet, is slated for delivery in Q4 2023.
