Situated on a dedicated DCN Diving designed floating structure, a Damen DOP350 submersible dredge pump, plus associated equipment got to work.
In the beginning, the DOP was dredging at depths of -150 meters.
Thanks to its efforts, it’s now working at -170 meters, Damen said.
“It’s not stopping there, however; before it’s done, this DOP dredge pump will be working at depths of -190 meters,” according to Damen.
