According to a statement from an executive member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Akin Akinwale , this project holds the potential to stimulate economic prosperity.
“The project will also help to increase revenue streams for both the South-Eastern state governments and the Federal Government (FG),” Akinwale wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
He also added that the envisioned outcome includes the facilitation of a robust business environment, the expansion of trade and investment.
These waterways are located within the Oguta Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo State.
