The project, located at Manatee County, includes excavating approximately 482,000 cubic yards of material out of the Manatee Harbor Dredge Material Management Area (DMMA).
The excavated material will be transported via truck hauling, approximately 8.5 miles south to the Washington Park Placement Site. Suitable material from the DMMA will be excavated, segregated and placed within Washington Park
The removal of the material is expected to commence late this year/early next year with the whole thing being done by the end of April 2025.
